I thought I would give you an update how the Living Room is coming along with the new trim and the Antique wooden door I purchased.
We got one wall done and even before the paint was dry or the floor was mopped, I was taking pictures and trying to update this part of the Living Room. I was so anxious to play with this door after we got it cleaned up!
Hubs scraped out all the leftover glass chips and old glazing and I gave her a big bath.
Ok 2 bath’s.
See that insert in the middle (above)

That was glass. hubby said he had no idea that was glass.
Here she is in her new state and home. I found it difficult to get a good pic of the glass window (bottom window was broken) but the glass is wavy, it is amazing up close!
I only bathed this new beauty I never sanded her. I wish I had gotten a more close up pic of her crackle texture but the sun seems to have left us for now.
As you can see in the entryway I have also started tweaking that room for the upcoming Holidays….
I can never leave things alone…
Can you? I am loving the new trim around the entry!

Here’s a male response for ya:
Me: “Doesn’t it look great! Love the new white molding!”
Hubby: (Shrug)
Me: “Ya don’t like it?”
Hubby: “It just looks different”
Well there ya have it folks…..lol
I found an old picture of what the trim used to look like
And here it is now
Shadow is my construction supervisor, she makes sure we stay on schedule
Now it is onto the other three walls...but I probably will not bore you with those details until my Holiday posts start coming out.
XO,
Christine
