Mothers Day
Celebrating Mothers Day surrounded by family and great food is the best way to spend it.
And if Mother Nature is willing, we will be spending it outside.
Originally I had planned on having this tablescape outside, but rain made me rethink my plan.
I am wondering if Mother nature is a ghost wandering my home. Because every time I utter the words "Dining Alfresco" or "Let's eat outside" the clouds roll in.
Patience is key I guess, it can't last forever.
Like my tulips, sadly this is the last of them cut from the yard. Hopefully they will last til Mothers Day.
We are having a BBQ for family. If the weather is nice we will get to enjoy our new outdoor living space.
If not, we will be inside, enjoying each other and simple but tasty food.
I am calling this soiree "Brats, Burgers and Brawds".
That fits, as I intend on spending the day barefoot and being waited on.
Hopefully lounging outdoors with a drink in my hand.
That's my wish for every Mother this weekend.
Surrounded by love, laughter, food, family and not doing a damn thing.
