Using a classic black and white theme and adding a vibrant pop of color for spring decor on the porch, really welcomes your guests with a smile.
That's what I hope to accomplish with my thought process for my spring front porch.
Since we DIY'd a small reno with this porch back in 2016 and gave it a much needed update, we can now seat 4 rather comfortably.
Having cushions and pillows lying on the stairs reminds me on long wrap around porches of Florida and how we'd sit anywhere when it was 98 degrees with 100% humidity.
They just say "Come sit down and relax awhile, I know you're exhausted."
I found some Sunbrella Purple Outdoor Pillows online back in March and ordered them.
I didn't deliberate long I admit. It occurred to me that every year I add pillows out here that I long for purple outdoor pillows and write the proverbial blog post about Purple being a color too. It was then I realized that Thirty Six dollars for one 20" pillow was not so bad.
Because they definitely will get used again!
I mixed them with the small green ones I have had for years.
This porch is just begging for some warm afternoons and some dirty garden gloves being thrown on it.
Me too if I am honest.
Rumor has it we will get a few days of 78 degrees this coming week.
Everything else I used on the porch, I have had for two years or more. The outdoor rug is from Target. The lighter purple pillows are from HomeGoods. Those are actually indoor ones I used for more color.
Mix in some petunias, ferns and hostas and I am all set for serious rocking and gardening.
I just need to find my flip flops and some sunscreen and I am all set.
Have a great day!
