Hi Friends! I am happy to be sharing my Christmas Tour in the Living Room today. I am extremely happy with it this year as I took my time and I think it turned out pretty dramatic.
I also like to think you won't see this tree anywhere else.
Each year I challenge myself to redecorate using old and new things with a twist, so that my style is always evolving and growing. Now that doesn't mean I go out an buy all new ornaments every year, but I do like to update and add to my collections.
I did the rustic theme this year for my tree. I mixed in brown peacock feathers, galvanized houses and lacy moss covered ribbon. I also utilized some camouflage ribbon also. Surprisingly it works really well! Can you see find it?
You can see it better on this side
I found large metal gift tags from a local craft store and asked Greg to sand them down a bit. The wording was hard to read before.
I brought out my real and faux antlers for the tree and a couple tables.
I used an old grapevine tree cone as a tree topper. I fixed two white faux antlers to it for a pop of color.
The little ceramic tree below is a recent purchase while Greg and I were on vacay in Missouri. I paid 4 dollars for it and almost had to fight the cashier for it. She wanted to know how she missed it.
I wound burlap, grapevine and white fur ribbon around this tree. I love the texture it gives and definitely will be repeating this again in future years.
The rest of the house is starting to get done or is close to being done. So please stay tuned for my porch, kitchen, dining room and this year I treated our Master Bedroom to some jolly good cheer too.
You will be so shocked at the color scheme, I promise you!
Merry Christmas !
