The Fall color that northwest Indiana has been getting this year has been just incredible. I have been snapping some photos with my new Canon camera. Yes I bought a new one to accompany my cell phone to just compare and see how good a videographer or photographer I can be.
When I feel like it that is.
I am still watching every video and reading manual after manual of my new Canon Rebel T6i. I bought a kit that came with several lenses and filters plus a two tripods and other various gadgets I don't think I'll use, but you never know. I am the girl several years ago who said right here on this blog I'll never spend that much time taking pictures or editing my photos.
And look how that has turned out.
I am still a beginner with figuring out how and when to use what lenses. It is going to take my blonde brain years to figure this out but if I can get 4 good shots every time I shoot, then I will be satisfied. Not happy, but satisfied.
I have a few new plants but don't really want to showcase them. I got them at 90% off and they will not even be green again until next year. But for two bucks a piece I can take chances, that they will come back. It's 6 pink speedwell flowers below.
The dried pathetic little stalks in front of the Montague Daisies that I need to cut down, but I wanted to at least document where they went so I don't forget.
Or let me say that Greg moved it. I did the dishes and supervised from the the kitchen window. He literally moved it in about an hour. The prep, leveling the new area took ten times longer. I may put the pictures up on the blog, I'm not sure yet. We are supposed to get snow tonight and I am deep in holiday preparations around here. I painted the hallway all white for a winter holiday look I have in my brain, so we'll see how that turns out.
I love the way the purple plum tree behind it just contrasts and I cannot wait for that baby to get big.
I hope you enjoyed one last look at some Fall color before winter hits over here in my area. Night time temperatures are now staying below 36 degrees and snow is in the forecast.
Winter is on it's way, so bye bye sandals and hello shovels, boots and the holidays!
