Hi!
It's that time of year already. I don't know about you but it came so fast for us. Greg & I have been doing so much for our Community this year and each other, so that we stay busy, positive and away from negativity and the hate that seems to be flowing around us. I think we all need some christmas cheer!
I put up four trees this year not 6. Greg laughed and hubbily reminded me that after last years Christmas debacle, I had stated that I would only be putting up one tree and then we'd leave for Hawaii.
Well I added a couple of trees because I am not going to be defeated from being positive, festive and showing my creativity and how I express my love for the season.
I added the color black to the mix again this year with a few extra pieces. I absolutely love it! During the day the black pops against the green tree and it looks stunning now both during the day and night.
I added the grapevine again on almost every tree. I did not deck out the tree in the dining room as you'll notice, I liked it bare. It fit the space this year.
I compensated though by adding two skinny trees to the entryway. Packed with reds and browns. I used feathers, burlap and some thrifted ornaments plus some pricey ones too that I picked up last year.
Below is a new purchase I picked up in October. I ordered it from Overstock, it came with a broken foot, but thanks to hubby, a clamp and some glue, you can't even see it.
I hate when things have to be returned, especially due to restocking fees and what else. It seems like you lose twice if you have to pay for return shipping when they couldn't get it to right the first time. My opinion I know.
The black finial below used to be purple. I wanted to spread the black color around the room a bit more and this has been sitting in my decor closet for 2 years being ignored, so she got a new look.
Now the promised video....It's posted on my YouTube channel, so please pop over and give it a LIKE! You won't be sorry you did, it shows a lot more then these pictures. I am also so close to finishing an outdoor video tour, so stay tuned for that.
Merry Christmas!

Wait...what?!?!!?!? The piece arrived broken and you would still have to pay for restocking and shipping???? THAT’S not right!!! What a crock!
Skinny trees to the rescue! That’s ALL I have going on in here this year with the limited amount of space available for the number of trees “required” to get the look I wanted. ALL your trees are beautifully decorated, and the surrounding areas are, too. You have put a lot of work into this year’s presentation. Who’s to say Hawaii is off the table?😉 I mean, really...4 or 6, it’s all the same!🙃 Enjoy your handiwork! 🎄
Oh gosh I love the look of the black! Your LR tree is a stunner, especially with the entry trees in the background too. Hopping over to the video now!
